Transhumanistic Manifest-Panspermialism

Okay so before episode 8 I had thought about whether all the bender intermingling produced by Aang’s reforms could possibly produce dual-benders

So when I first saw Tarrlok stop Korra I thought for a second that he was actually also a firebender.

What if though. He didn’t want to use it in the fight because he’d been hiding it his whole life because he was afraid he’d be seen as a freak. He only used it when absolutely necessary to save himself. And even then, covered it up with his bloodbending.

But wait! This might actually be true! Korra was already throwing fire at his face. He would have gotten burned even if he had just stopped her movements like he did, because he didn’t break her extension stance. Which means the fire would have just kept on flowing into his face. Unless he also bent the fire she had already created away.

And it might explain how he can bloodbend without a full moon. He could draw power from both the sun and the moon. So even if neither were at their apex, their effects would compound to make him an extremely powerful bender at all times. If this was true, he could be the only firebender able to bend in a solar eclipse, and Shozin’s comet would also give him incredible water bending powers.

And he could probably do some really cool, strange stuff all the time. Like combine lightningbending and waterbending to perform electrolysis and reverse electrolysis. He could create and destroy water out of thin air. Then combine this with firebending to boil the water. Guys. If this is true, if you put Tarrlok in a completely dry room at 0% humidity with nothing but tea leaves, he could make hot tea. What.

The left is just as guilty of perverting the definition of “libertarianism” beyond usefulness as the right is of “socialism” and “communism”

Seriously though.

Define “libertarian,” tumblr Left. Non-sarcastically. I dare you.

libertarian: someone who ignores the coercive power of capital. easy.

libertarians (and also many people on the left) think that they are “anti-ideology”, but they have shown time and time again that they are incapable of thinking outside the neoliberal paradigm.

That’s the perversion present in most libertarians who don’t read.

Similar to how there’s a lot of “socialists” who think that a massive state controlling everything is socialism.

A libertarian who knew what they were talking about would place only liberty as an ideal, therefore they would recognize all solutions producing greater liberty as good solutions. They would recognize anything from anarchism to capitalism as vali as long as it produced sufficient liberty. (I’m not commenting on whether either of those actually do; that’s for another debate.) You are right in that most people who call themselves libertarians fulfill the stereotype, however, that doesn’t change the fact that the stereotype is wrong.

The only conflict within libertarianism is “liberty for whom?” The left gives it a bad rap because most people who call themselves libertarians answer that question with “the fittest.” (With their own definition of ‘fit’ to go along with it.)

The left is just as guilty of perverting the definition of “libertarianism” beyond usefulness as the right is of “socialism” and “communism”

How can a thread be both red and invisible?
