They eventually realized I was up to no good when I had taken everything except the homeland and their south american holdings, and the resulting world war lasted about ten minutes.
I love how the Inca WILL become a major player if Europe ignores America for more than a few turns.

I typically like starting in the vicinity of the Middle East though, so I typically quickly take over Africa and jump over to South America, so it almost never happens in my games.
Also, the Italians like attacking my North African holdings every other turn. It gets annoying, especially since I usually can’t offensively defeat them until late-game.
